The Charlotte African American Festival (CAAF) is proud to announce that Saturday, September 27, 2025, has been officially proclaimed as Charlotte African American Festival Day. This recognition comes from the State of North Carolina, Mecklenburg County, and the City of Charlotte, each honoring the festival’s legacy of celebrating culture, unity, and pride.
Now in its 12th year, the Charlotte African American Festival continues to highlight the rich heritage, resilience, and remarkable contributions of the African American community. The annual event brings together art, music, dance, literature, food, speakers, vendors, and community leaders for a full day of celebration and education.
